Entry, exit, payment and month-end reconciliation for a paid-parking operator, delivered as an API-first web platform with native and shared-code mobile apps and infrastructure as code.

An operator of paid car parks was leaking revenue at the seams: each site recorded entries, exits and payments slightly differently, and finance spent the first days of every month lining up transactions by hand.

The founders built the platform contract-first. Every capability was described in an OpenAPI specification before it was implemented, so the attendant apps, the back-office and later integrations all worked from the same agreed interface instead of reverse-engineering the server. Vehicles move through QR-based entry and exit, attendants use native iOS and Android apps, and shared business logic was later pulled into a Kotlin Multiplatform module so the two apps could not drift apart.

The reconciliation engine does the matching finance used to do manually — pairing sessions with payments across sites and channels and surfacing only the exceptions. Everything runs in the client’s own cloud account, defined with OpenTofu and reachable only through a hardened bastion, so the operator holds the keys to their own system.

The platform has run continuously since 2020, and the close that once took days is now a same-day task.
