A shopper-facing shipping platform and warehouse back-office for a forwarder moving parcels from US retailers to customers in the Philippines, with native apps on both sides.

A founders' engagement from before Spoon Studio existed, anonymised at the client's request.

A package-forwarding company lets shoppers in the Philippines buy from US stores, receives the parcels at a US warehouse, and consolidates them for the trip home. Intake was manual, invoices were typed up by hand, and the only way to find out where a parcel was involved emailing support.

The founders built two connected products. Customers get a web app to declare incoming purchases, watch each parcel move from received to consolidated to shipped, and settle invoices online. Warehouse staff get a back-office for receiving, weighing, photographing and grouping parcels, with every action reflected on the customer’s timeline. Native iOS and Android apps mirror the customer experience for the many shoppers who track from a phone.

Six years later all four applications are still in production and still being maintained — a long-running system that has outlived several changes in the client’s carriers and payment providers without a rewrite.
